1. Overview
This Cancellation Policy applies to all paid subscription plans on WasteFindr: Findr Starter (£9.99/month), Findr Pro (£19.99/month), and Findr Elite (£29.99/month). By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time directly from your Business Dashboard. To cancel:
- Log in to your WasteFindr account
- Navigate to Dashboard → Subscription
- Click Cancel Subscription and follow the confirmation steps
No phone call, email, or manual request is required — cancellation is entirely self-service.
3. When Cancellation Takes Effect
When you cancel your subscription:
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
- You will continue to have full access to your plan's features until that date
- After the billing period ends, your account will be suspended until you reactivate a paid plan
- Your business data, documents, and history are preserved — you can reactivate at any time
4. Downgrading
You may downgrade from a higher-tier plan (e.g. Findr Elite to Findr Pro or Findr Starter) via Dashboard → Subscription. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period with prorated billing applied. A confirmation dialog will inform you of any features you will lose. No refunds are issued for the difference in plan pricing.
5. Free Trial Cancellation
All new businesses receive a 3-month free Findr Elite trial from the date of registration with full access to all features. You can cancel before the trial period ends without being charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to your selected post-trial plan at the rate for your chosen tier and billing frequency. Automated reminders are sent 30, 14, 7, and 1 day before trial expiration.
6. Account Closure & Archiving
If you request full account closure, all associated business data (profile, leads, quotes, invoices, waste transfer notes, team members, customers, documents, and reviews) is archived and retained for a mandatory 7-year period in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Archived accounts can be reinstated subject to administrative re-verification. After the 7-year retention period, archived data is permanently deleted.
7. Document Top-Up Packs
Document top-up packs (available to Findr Pro and Findr Elite users) are one-time purchases and are non-cancellable once purchased. Unused documents from top-up packs do not carry over between billing periods.
8. Reactivation
If you cancel your subscription and later wish to reactivate, you can do so from your Business Dashboard at any time. Your previous business data, documents, and reviews will still be available. Reactivation will begin a new billing period at the current plan pricing. If your account was archived, reinstatement restores your profile and customer list with the status set to "pending" for administrative re-verification.
9. Account Deletion & Data
Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account. If you wish to permanently close your account, please contact us at hello@wastefindr.co.uk. Account closure triggers the archiving process described in Section 6 above. You may download all your data before closure via Dashboard → Settings → Download My Data.
